The Europe Remembers Team returned to Normandy to Falaise, Montormel, and Caen to commemorate the civilian experience during the war and the Battle of Normandy.
The Europe Remembers’ Team headed to Normandy for the 75th anniversary commemorations of the D-Day landings in June 1944 where we hiked a portion of the Liberation Route Europe’s International Hiking Trail.
From a launch event in London to a closing ceremony at the D-Day Story in Portsmouth, we hiked the trail over three days, discovering the natural beauty and rich history of this region and its importance in the liberation of Europe.
