Colditz Castle and Museum

The Colditz Castle (Schloss Colditz) in the town of Colditz, in Saxony, Germany served as a Prisoner-of-War Camp for Allied officers between 1939 and 1945. The Museum Schloss Colditz, established in the castle, exhibits escape artefacts and uniforms of Allied POWs and provides information on their legendary escapes.
