Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site

Dachau was the first of the Nazi concentration camps built in Germany in March 1933. The camp existed for twelve years, during which over 200,000 people from all over Europe were imprisoned, and 41,500 were murdered. The Memorial Site was established in 1965 on the grounds of the former concentration camp. Its main exhibition focuses on the fate of the prisoners.
