The Mémorial des Martyrs de la Déportation (Deportation Memorial) can be found at the eastern tip of the Île de la Cité in Paris. The Memorial was inaugurated by Charles de Gaulle in 1962 and is dedicated to the 200,000 people who were deported from France to Nazi concentration camps during the Second World War.
