This tour will take you from Paris to the gates of Normandy.
You will begin your tour after meeting your guide at your designated meeting spot. Leaving the Capital, you will pass near the town hall of Neuilly sur Seine, place of one of the most tragic episodes of the liberation of Paris. After a pleasant trip through the regional natural park of French Vexin, you will reach La Roche Guyon. This medieval town became the headquarters of General Rommel. Your guide will discuss in more detail the role played by the latter in the Normandy landings and in the weeks that followed. You will then have the opportunity to visit his bunker located inside the cliff as part of the Castle.
In the afternoon you will reach Giverny for an optional visit to the house of the impressionist master Claude Monet. Before reaching Paris, you will stop at a memorial raised in memory of a crew of the Royal Air Force shot down over this small Norman village in the day following the Allied landings of June 1944.
To make the visit more interactive, the guides will be equipped with a digital tablet containing iconographic content (photos, etc) specific to the visit.
